Summary: The Powder-Coat Painter is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance painting duties within the manufacturing plant, including a full range of specialized painting projects. These include, but are not limited to; painting large structures, perform inspections, cleanups, proper storage and disposal of paint products and operating various tools and equipment. This role is an active and fast-paced role that supports the companys quality policies and objectives. This role will efficiently produce parts to specification ensuring customer satisfaction, while reducing costs of re-work, scrap, and returned products. In fact, well keep things exciting and boost your development through on-the-job training. Youll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment while expanding your knowledge through on-the-job training- all as you contribute towards crafting quality products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, hanging, and removing parts from carts
- Changing tooling, computer skills, uploading jobs into machine interface, first piece inspection, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance
- Cleaning and prepping parts to ensure a quality paint finish
- Ability to read computerized blueprints and drawings
- Attention to detail
- Ability to properly use hand and power tools required to complete job requirements
- Ability to operate forklift and hoists, to move parts and materials safe and effectively (some training provided)
- Familiarity with different types of coatings and their applications
- Knowledge of methods and techniques related to painting.
- Knowledge and understanding relating to the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products, chemicals, as well as safe cleanup techniques and practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required
- Training: On the job as needed
- Experience: 1-3 years trade training/experience as Paint Powder Coater
- Skills: Possess ability to interpret documents, blueprints, bill of materials operating safety manuals, work instructions, possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic Painting machines and equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic measuring/mechanical skills pertaining to fulfill job duties
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Requires lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
- At least 1 years experience as a Paint Powder Coater
- Must be willing to submit and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Employees are subject to high noise level , physical hazards due to moving equipment and machinery, may be exposed to airborne particles, fumes, sparks, vibration, chemicals, and extreme heat.
