CNC Laser Operators Needed

Job Description

The CNC Laser Operator will work in the fabrication department to supply materials for the press brake department.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines as a machine operator.

• Understand and apply knowledge of metal fabrication.

• Read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.

• Utilize a crane to move sheets of steel to the bed of the laser machine.

• Unload parts from the laser bed.

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience working on CNC machines as a machine operator.

• Knowledge of metal fabrication.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.

• Experience with laser operation, sheet metal, and machine operation.

• Ability to troubleshoot and inspect parts during the fabrication process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and management directives.

• Ensure a safe working environment and good housekeeping in your respective area.

• Must be able to operate a forklift.

• Requires lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, up to 10 hours.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
