Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Lynnwood, Washington

Description

We are in search of a Tax Manager who will be an integral part of our team. Based in Lynnwood, Washington, this role is central to our operations within the public accounting industry. As a Tax Manager, your key responsibilities will revolve around tax planning, client engagement, team management, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with both existing and potential clients to provide tax planning and advice

• Oversee a full spectrum of tax services, including all tax forms for all entity types

• Manage the tax production team specializing in entity, individual, fiduciary, and gift/estate taxation

• Plan and execute client tax engagements efficiently and effectively

• Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor level team members

• Develop and sustain strong referral relationships with clients and other professional advisors

• Demonstrate expertise in areas such as entity, individual, and fiduciary taxation

• Understand complex investments and their related tax implications

• Handle multi-state taxation issues

• Communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and work collaboratively within a team environment

• Manage and train tax preparation staff.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $200,000 + potential bonus.

Requirements • Proven experience in auditing and income tax accounting

• Strong client relations skills and ability to manage multiple client engagements

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead a team

• Proficiency in individual tax return preparation and review

• Knowledge and experience in gift tax, estate tax, and fiduciary tax

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required

• Extensive experience in public accounting tax

• Ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
