Cashier (Customer Service Specialist 3)
SALARY: * *$42,696 - $46,920
LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
The Cashier Customer Service Specialist 3 works under general supervision to provide direct service to students in the area of tuition and other college related payments, establishment of payment plans, refunds, and resolution of payment issues. Using excellent customer service, this position also provides general information about the college and entry processes to students and staff, at the counter, on the phone and via email.
This position also acts as a liaison between the student and other departments where the student may have debts that prevent or restrict access or the conducting of college business, which includes registering for classes, receiving refunds, processing of transcript requests, and other functions. Other functions such as preparing of change boxes for events, and the handling of various departmental funds, such as Housing, Office of International Programs, Culinary Arts, and EdPass (student ID) Office are also a function of the Cashier Customer Service Specialist 3. A key requirement of this position is to research, problem solve, and find a solution or resolution for students, departmental staff, and the Business Office.
This position also has specific responsibility or provides backup in the areas of processing financial aid and other refunds, billing, outside agency payments, third party billings, and other related areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Provide direct service to students, staff, faculty, and the community at the front counter in the Cashier's Office, on the phone and via email.
Calculate student tuition, fees, and payment options.
Assist students in resolving issues and difficulties around payment, refunds, and enrollment.
Provide general information to students regarding college entry processes.
Receive deposits from other departments.
Assist students with payment plans, outstanding debts, parking permits, third party billings, refun
