Eliot's CBHC in Lynn is seeking a bilingual parent or caregiver with "lived experience" in regards to CRA related issues or children with special needs to be a part of Centerboard's dynamic, community based Family Resource Center in Lynn. Our ideal candidate will have a strong ability to effectively engage and support individuals and families from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds.
The Family Resource Center is one of a statewide network of community-based program offering multi-cultural parenting programs, support groups, early childhood services information and referral resources. Our goal is to support families to strengthen their bonds, connect to others, and engage in their community.
Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessment with FRC approved tools and screening measures
Collaborate closely with the FRC clinician to support CRA involved youth or youth at risk of CRA. Support the clinician in completing the CANS assessment and developing the Family Support Plan for family members experiencing CRA related issues.
Manage playroom and ensure safety of children with volunteers while parent(s) attend workshops
Ensure that family support plans are culturally sensitive/strengths based and reflect identified needs and preferences
Develop and execute creative and “outside the box” interventions to support individuals and/or families
Conduct workshops or groups as assigned, including Evidence Based Parenting Groups
Coordinate and communicate with the administrative staff to support the resolution of administrative issues related to the operation of the program
Compensation: $24.46/hr.
