About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedIndustrial Electrical Assistant Project Managerto support our commercial industrial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring smooth project execution by overseeing administrative, financial, and logistical functions while maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight & Procurement

  • Assist in preparing job proposals, including scope reviews and cost breakdowns.

  • Develop project pricing estimates, coordinate with suppliers for competitive pricing, and manage material procurement.

  • Issue and track purchase orders, material requisitions, and supplier invoices while ensuring budget alignment.

  • Oversee monthly billing, track payments, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Draft and distribute subcontractor contracts, process contract invoices, and track change orders for approval.

  • Manage lodging logistics for field personnel, including reservations, expense reconciliation, and invoice verification.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety Management

  • Process and track permits, jurisdictional approvals, and inspections to ensure project compliance.

  • Administer safety documentation, including OSHA compliance reports and Miss Utility tickets.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain project databases for manpower allocation, tool inventory, and vehicle assignments.

  • Generate and distribute project reports, scheduling updates, and commissioning documentation.

  • Ensure proper archiving and organization of project documents for audits and historical reference.

Operational Support & Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance project efficiency and cost management.

  • Assist with administrative functions such as shipping logistics, document management, and office organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

✔️Experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction preferred.

✔️ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks.

✔️ Knowledge of procurement, budgeting, and financial reporting in a construction setting.

✔️ Familiarity with contract administration, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols.

✔️ Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

✔️ Ability to work and communicate effectively individually and in a team environment.

✔️ Ability to handle disruptions in stride with professionalism.

✔️ Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

✔️ Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history).
