    Primary Purpose of this position:

    Supervise, oversee and develop activities of service technicians and assigned accounts.

    Specific Job Duties:

  • Maintain and implement procedures for a safe work environment

  • Provide feedback to management on progress of technicians and help identify individual and departmental training needs

  • Provide feedback on equipment, tools, instrumentation, etc.

  • Keep management informed of potential safety, personnel or customer issues

  • Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion

  • Track service technician call backs and consult with technician on how to prevent a reoccurring event

  • Complete QC inspections of projects

  • Oversee the activities of assigned service technicians

  • Evaluate existing staffing levels and make recommendations for hiring new technicians

  • Assist management with interviewing and determining suitability of applicants as potential new hires

  • Review performance of technicians and address when necessary

  • Support technicians with technical back up providing hands on training when required as well as working directly day to day with technicians to service accounts

  • Follow up with vendors on parts ordered by technicians to ensure equipment is installed per specifications

  • Maintain specified/required gross margin on all project quotes

  • Provide management with detailed quote summary forms to include vendor and pricing

    Other Requirements:

  • Punctual and regular attendance

  • Ability to work on a team and interact with people

  • Communicate effectively with employees and customers

  • Ability to operate and use a man lift, personal lift, chain hoist, duct jack

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy

  • Must be able to respond to service calls after regular working hours and on weekend

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy

    Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a high school or trade school graduate or have a GED

  • Completion of a vocational program of study or apprenticeship program a plus

  • EPA Universal Certification

  • 3-5 years HVAC experience

  • Supervisory experience a plus
