SUMMARY Responsible for the coordination and enrollment of unemployed, under employed and/or migrant job seekers through a specialized grant funded program. This includes supportive services and advocacy for up to a year following employment obtainment. Market and create activities to engage participants in career readiness skills and digital literacy. Provide assessment, individual counseling, and case management. Salary & Hours:\$60,456.92 (min) to \$70,903.07 (max) annual; 35 hours per week Grant Funded Position ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must speak French/Creole
  • Conducts program orientation, intake, assessments, testing, screening of referrals, arranging support services and obtaining eligibility documentation for program
  • Develops and maintains linkages with the local Shelter residents
  • (DTA) and social service agencies to facilitate client participation and support services. Identify service needs; participates in a team approach in determining the customers suitability for various funded training programs.
  • assistance to include developing resumes and cover letters.
  • Conduct Job Readiness workshops to prepare participants for employment and retention
  • Follow-up on a monthly basis enrolled customers and facilitate conversation in regard to retention and barriers for up to a year of entering employment.
  • Conduct follow-up and track each customer as they progress through point-of-entry
  • through job placement.
  • Responsible for outreach and recruitment when necessary.
  • Documents all program services, activities, and notes in MOSES.
  • Maintains participants attendance records.
  • Must be able to meet monthly and quarterly goals/performance standards. Assist and facilitate in multiple languages with digital literacy
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Undergraduate Degree from four-year college or university in a related field, i.e., Business, Marketing, Human Services, and/or Humanities or equivalent preferred not required. At least two years experience in employment and training programs. Experience working with disadvantaged groups in particular recent immigrants. LANGUAGE SKILLS Bi-lingual in Haitian Creole required. Ability to read government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to understand and be sensitive to the needs of economically disadvantage persons. Ability to communicate well and maintain effective working relationships with different constituencies. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills in both English and Haitian Creole/French and be able to maintain detailed records on an automated and/or manual system.
