The Manufacturing Operation Supervisor- 2nd shift will perform the daily operations to ensure reliability and consistency on the production lines. The role involves responsibility for planning and execution of departmental operations, with a focus on maintaining quality and fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork. In this role, you will oversee 20 hourly employees (i.e. Machinists, General Assemblers, and Lab Technicians) while ensuring quality production numbers. In addition, you will be responsible for the training of necessary skill-sets
The ideal candidate will make autonomous decisions to keep everything moving during 2nd shift.
2nd shift hours at the Loves Park facility are Tuesday-Friday with 10 hour work days starting at approximately 3:30pm central
Job Description
Role Overview
Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and achievement of production targets.
Enforce safety policies and procedures among team members to ensure a safe working environment, prioritizing safety above all.
Monitor product quality, implementing quality control measures to meet and exceed quality standards.
Coordinate with the production planning team to ensure timely execution of production schedules.
Lead, motivate, and develop the production team, providing training and support as needed.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Troubleshoot production issues, working closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, including any deviations from targets and action plans for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing)
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience leading people in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in lean manufacturing principles
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards within the Aerospace industry
Ability to analyze data to make strategic decisions which improve production efficiency

The base pay range for this position is $75,500.00 - 94,300.00 USD . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 1/20/2025 .
