TEKsystems Sr Project Manager (Data & Analytics/Reporting) in Loveland, Colorado

Description

As a Senior Project Manager in the HR PMO, you will be responsible for the delivery of key projects that are vital to achieving our clients HR’s strategic goals for growth and sustainability into the future.

What you will do:

• Work under the direction of the Sr. Manager, HR PMO and HR Program Manager to ensure strategy alignment with the Project Management Office methodologies, roadmap, goals, and deliverables for each project in alignment with the HR Leadership Team’s objectives.

• Facilitate definition of project scope, goals, timeline, budget, and deliverables in support of assigned projects in collaboration with Program Manager, Business Lead, Project Stakeholders and Steering Committee.

• Effectively communicate project strategy, methodology and delivery expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

• Adhere to strict financial and budgeting practices during the life of the project including regular reporting of financial status to stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain full-scale, detailed project plans and resource schedules, and track project timelines/milestones, using appropriate planning tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, and Team Calendars.

• Develop and deliver professional status reports and meeting slide decks for Steering Committee, Team Meetings, Executive Presentations, and other meetings.

• Proactively manage changes to the project(s) through a formal change management process, identify potential risks and issues, and devise and implement contingency plans. Communicate early and often with the Program Manager on all risk, issue, and contingency items for guidance on resolution.

• Develop and grow business relationships that are vital to the success of the project to ensure delivery and adoption of the business solution.

• Conduct project Lessons Learned sessions and create recommendations for continuous improvements to PMO processes in the final Project Close report.

• Effectively manage scheduling of resources in meetings and workshops to ensure the right audience, availability and timing for discussions and decisions.

• Drive delivery of work products and high-quality project deliverables with all project resources including those who may be in senior positions, report to others, or who may be on other internal or external teams, including vendors.

• Develop, groom and maintain backlogs, schedule into sprints (when needed) based on priority and complexity, and drive completion of backlog items within allocated sprints.

What you will bring:

• Extensive knowledge and experience working with HR business processes, operating models, best practices and systems including HR business transformation projects, through education and hands-on experience.

• Demonstration of strong leadership skills through specific project team examples.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with expert fluency in Microsoft tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Teams).

• Proficient understanding of a variety of HR technology platforms, such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workforce, ServiceNow and others.

• Proven strength in the application and interpretation of formal Project Management methodologies including experience with both Waterfall and Agile approaches.

• Industry recognized certification in Project Management, with 8+ years of post-certification, tactical project management experience.

• Industry recognized certification in Scrum Management, with post certification experience (optional, but preferred)

• Bachelor's degree from recognized post-secondary institution.

• Ability to remain flexible to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including PMO, senior leadership, vendors, and other departments.

• Diverse and creative solution orientation focusing on process solutions for the HR business area.

• Ability to negotiate and diffuse tension in a goal oriented, complex, project environment within a matrixed organization.

• Ability to deal with project issues and risks through the use of proven methods and strong management capability under the guidance and direction of the Program Manager.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Strong ability to think strategically while remaining organized with heavy attention to detail.

• Strong multitasking capability (managing more than one project in parallel).

• Adept at conducting research into business solutions and products, including RFI/RFP/RFQ.

• Must be able and willing to learn, understand, and apply new processes and technologies.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Proven team and people management/mentorship skills within a defined group as well as external relationships.

• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00
