Project Safety Manager:

This Project Safety Manager position, located throughout the state of CO, involves ensuring the safety of personnel, compliance with regulations, and the overall well-being of the work environment. The Project Safety Manager will directly report to the Area Safety Manager or other designated Senior Manager(s) within the department. This project is expected to last for roughly a year and a half.

What Do You Offer Us:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety plan tailored to the specific needs and risks of the short-term project.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and codes applicable to the project.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with the project activities.

  • Provide safety training and orientation to all project personnel, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety meetings to address specific safety concerns, share information, and reinforce safety practices.

  • Investigate and document any incidents, accidents, or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

  • Develop and communicate emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.

  • Perform regular safety inspections of the project site to identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.

  • Ensure that all personnel have and properly use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the specific project tasks.

  • Conduct safety audits to assess the effectiveness of safety programs and identify areas for improvement.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including records of training, inspections, and incident reports.

  • Foster open communication regarding safety concerns and encourage reporting of any unsafe conditions or behaviors.

  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure their safety programs align with the overall project safety plan.

  • Promote a positive safety culture by recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors and practices.

  • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety performance and implement proactive measures.

  • Facilitate the completion of safety-related documentation and procedures during the project closeout phase.

  • Maintain records of safety training for all project personnel, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • All other assigned duties/responsibilities by Safety Lead or other Senior Management.

What We Offer You:

  • Compensation is based on experience and ranges from $34 to $38 an hour.

  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle.

  • Per diem.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Safety related curriculum.

  • Maintain and develop gas distribution, pipeline, and electric safety knowledge.

  • Must be able to travel regionally and to all assigned areas within project area.

  • Must maintain professional interaction, appearances, and communication within all levels of the organization.

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

  • On call 24/7 or as assigned, including after hours, weekends and holidays.

  • Able to work an average of 60 hours a week.
