About us

Village Behavioral Health is a 108-bed treatment center in Louisville, TN, near Knoxville. The facility is a fully licensed psychiatric residential treatment center and alcohol and drug treatment center for children ages 10-12 and adolescents ages 13-17. Village Behavioral Health is located on 65 acres of land, secluded on a peninsula of the Tennessee River. The location provides a significant therapeutic environment for adolescents in a wilderness setting. Village Behavioral Health has a ropes course and swimming pool and operates a vocational program and activity therapy department.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Management Coordinator to join our team. As a Case Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluating services to meet an individual’s needs during treatment.

Duties:

  • Assure residents meet criteria for admission and review initial clinical information through discharge.

  • Monitor and manage client/patient/resident’s cases through development and implementation of individual care plans, collecting clinical data and remain informed by continuous review of documentation.

  • Coordinate care by tracking, monitoring, and reporting on inpatient or outpatient care.

  • Manage client/patient/resident’s cases with knowledge and expertise with the patient population of the facility.

  • Convey medical criteria and clinical information between the client/patient/residents’ insurance provider and treatment team as warranted and may also provide this information to the business office, as needed.

  • Conduct precertification with third party payers and negotiate approved days with the provider for the patient/resident admission.

  • Assigned tasks for admission review, concurrent review and participate in discharge planning.

  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Social Science or related field or relevant previous job experience required.

  • Familiarity with behavioral health principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in behavioral health.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.50 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week, Monday-Friday
