Churchill McGee Sr. Construction Estimator in Louisville, Kentucky

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Construction Estimator to join our growing team. As a Senior Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. Your expertise in interpreting blueprints, analyzing material and labor costs, and developing comprehensive budgets will be crucial in ensuring the success of our projects.Primary Duties:Analyze construction plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary materials, labor, and equipment required for the projectConduct thorough research to obtain accurate pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractor servicesPrepare detailed cost estimates, including line-item breakdowns, for all aspects of the construction projectCollaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to refine and finalize cost estimatesIdentify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to improve project profitabilityMaintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data and industry trends to enhance the accuracy of future estimatesAssist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with the project requirementsProvide support and guidance to junior estimators, sharing your expertise and mentoring them as neededProactively identify and vet potential bid opportunities, particularly in the public sector.
