Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role is vital to our organization as it involves providing information for the annual external audit and preparing the financial reporting and disclosure component of the external audit. Additionally, the Sr. Accountant will play an integral role in maintaining professional and technical knowledge, assisting with the annual audit, and promoting corporate integrity through compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information for the annual external audit and any other related external audits.

• Prepare the financial reporting and disclosure component of the external audit.

• Assist in researching, authoring, issuing, and implementing all financial reporting and related accounting policies and procedures.

• Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

• Assess the reliability of financial information, including those outsourced that produce this information.

• Identify significant processes which impact over financial reporting, and the applications that support those processes.

• Work closely with all levels of management and business process owners to ensure primary controls over financial reporting are identified, tested, and operating effectively.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• Collaborate with team members to provide excellent service to internal customers and users of financial information.

• Assist with the annual audit through the preparation of assigned audit schedules. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant

• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

• Proficiency in conducting annual external audits

• Demonstrated ability in financial reporting

• Strong knowledge in assurance compliance

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus

• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)

• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations

• Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to direct and supervise.
