Position Summary

Responsible for:

  • Overseeing clients' packaging projects.
  • Coordinating between client, design agencies, and SGS&Co's functions (fropm Marks, to PM and production) to ensure all artwork files are set up in such a way that will maximise quality whilst maintaining print efficiency.
  • Ensuring projects are managed effectively and efficiently, championing the quality and delivery of all client projects on-time.
  • Providing internal and external client communications.
  • Upholding and developing the client day-to-day relationship (the "face" of SGS&Co).

The purpose of this position is to facilitate our client's production needs. As a facilitator, the on-site may communicate with design agencies, printers, engravers, SGS&Co's Project Managers, and clients to coordinate successful projects.

As a facilitator, the on-site is also expected to coordinate with the client's different departments and functions to collect and check the inputs needed for a qualitative production (Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Procurement...) and provide visibility regarding the progress of the projects.

Your primary concern will be to facilitate and coordinate the client's departments to ensure excellent FFU and to be the first point of contact for the client.

Within SGS & Co, your main point of contact is the Project Manager.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

To provide excellent service to the client:

  • Coordinate with client's various departments to get all necessary inputs, in order to get complete and accurate data for SGS.
  • Check external FFU against the supplied information/files coming from the client (gate keeper of client inputs before it is briefed in MySGS by PMs)
  • Attend client projects kick off meetings and prepro calls, and bring technical inputs and feasibility analysis
  • Check, validate and alert on the feasibility regarding the timing of projects
  • Liaise between the client and the production team ensuring all information to enable production is clear, concise and delivered within timeframe.
  • Liaise communication between the different departments at the clients as well as with third parties (marketing, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, design agencies, printers...)
  • Manage the day-to-day progress of the client projects, coordinating with all SGS functions Marks, PMs etc.
  • Organize preproduction meetings with key stake holders to launch production cycles specific to each vendor and printer specifications
  • M anage status on all components within a project through to final deliverable
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining consistency across each brand portfolio
  • Monitor and Control communication against expectations and manage scope change
  • Manage constraints such as: scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources and risks to pertinent stakeholders throughout the graphic chain
  • Manage client priorities, advice on process (batching, expediting, master/variant etc)
  • Create and automate connections both internally and externally between design through to desired post print results across the brand portfolio
  • Understand and clearly communicate known obstacles to engage the proper team to understand alternate work streams and problem solving solutions
  • Evaluate and communicate cost reduction opportunities where applicable such as in color reduction, print method, material type... etc.
  • Maintain color consistency and integrity across multiple print processes and materials
  • Offer multiple visual materials, both digital and conventional to establish repeatable targets such as: rotating 3D's, conical/warped materials for realistic layouts, color calibrated proofs with imbedded simulations to minimize unexpected risk.
  • Manage and disburse required assets and materials for digital repurposing and archiving.
  • Manage/maintain individual tracker, manage project timelines against SLAs.
  • Communicate with client on project progress and delivery of tasks / on production challenges and delays.
  • Manage client's guidelines, branding documentation and client processes documentation.
  • Be the brand guardian on a given scope (share with local teams the global guidelines...)
  • Collect client forecast to enable capacity planning, liaising, and chasing production for on time deliverables.
  • Support CSD and CSM to prepare QBR's regarding putting context behind KPI scorecard and building success stories.
  • Provide cost estimates.
  • First point of contact and 'go to person' for any client needs or escalation.
  • Manage queries internally answering or escalating and managing communications externally when client feedback is required on studio queries/ layouts/ Brand implementation.
  • Attend client calls/KPI reviews to provide support to the CS Director. Input required during the calls.
  • Check all files before they are uploaded / sent to clients.
  • Ensure invoicing is performed withing SGS standards (No PO no Ship, no old jobs...).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Experience
