Position Summary

This position will provide administrative support to the People and Culture Team, including HR, Benefits & Payroll.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Payroll

  • Process weekly payroll for all US pay groups.
  • Ensure that the time files are closed and ready for payroll processing.
  • Canadian Payroll Experience.
  • Review, validate, and audit payroll-related entries (for new hires & terminating employees).
  • Support the HR team with various duties as assigned by management.
  • Various areas of the year-end process for payroll.

Benefits

  • Manage file feeds in and out of the UltiPro/UKG payroll system and the funding process to multiple carriers and retirement vendors.
  • Run audit reports to ensure that the data is processed accurately.
  • Serve as the backup for the leave of absence process

Competency Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and support day-to-day activities while managing customer inquiries.
  • Knowledgeable of basic payroll processing requirements and general HR functions.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.
  • Canadian Payroll
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to (walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision for computer monitor, and the ability to adjust focus.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
