Job Summary and Qualifications

To serve as the main point of contact and provide guidance for students to facilitate the enrollment consistent with the College's mission

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintains communication with prospective online student inquiries via phone calls, emails, text, and document follow-up in Recruit and Colleague.

  • Follow-up with all prospective students who have received an admissions appointment through the enrollment process on a weekly basis to assist with any student-related issues.

  • Guide students through the online campus enrollment process and ensure all documentation (transcripts, financial aid, RN license, etc.) is received, as required.

  • Consult with Registrar and Financial Aid staff to assist students, as needed.

  • Notify students of acceptance into the program, and orient students to College policies, course registration and the online learning environment.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment at Galen using solutions-based consultative engagements.

  • Maintain an inquiry database and reports in Recruit and Colleague to provide reporting and projections regarding lead flow and development, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

  • Experience: Demonstrated prior experience in enrollment of students in a college or academic setting preferred but not required. Prior experience with Recruit and Colleague preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills.

Special Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and technical skills. Strong phone presence and excellent customer services skills required.

  • Entrepreneurial attitude to meet performance goals.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as with faculty, staff and administration.

  • Proven leadership ability. High attention to detail

  • Ability to work some evening and weekends

  • Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:

  • Position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating and decision making. Physical demands in classroom and office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phone, computer and printer/scanner, occurs on a frequent basis.
