Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an NC Programmer to convert customer drawings, templates, DXF files, and blueprints into programs that produce parts per customer specifications, optimizing material and machine utilization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prioritize regional workloads and coordinate with processing specialists and managers to maximize customer service.
From customer blueprints, drawings, templates, and DXF files, produce programs to process parts according to customer specifications.
Produce parts nests to obtain maximum material and machine utilization.
Establish and coordinate a filing system for identification of specific part requirements.
Monitor and maintain parts programming software: update program files, backup system, etc.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in AutoCAD strongly preferred
Blueprint reading experience required.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
Experience with ERP system required.
Able to work in a high-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Speak conversational English
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. repetitively throughout a shift
Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
Ability to walk 2-5 miles throughout a shift.
Have a good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
Subject to environmental conditions that occur indoors and outdoors which include but are not limited to exposure to changing temperatures, loud noises, and vibration from the use of equipment and the following:
Hazards: Variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals.
Atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions affect the respiratory system or the skin-fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.
Oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
