University of Louisville Manager, Athletic Compliance (Director of Athletic Compliance, Recruiting) in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 8 (Salary).Position Description:The Manager, Athletic Compliance (Director of Compliance, Recruiting) will oversee all aspects of NCAA recruiting and monitoring within the institution's Athletics Department. This position serves as the primary point of contact for interpreting and implementing NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting and monitoring. Ensuring adherence to NCAA guidelines, promoting a culture of compliance, and supporting the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead all recruiting and monitoring compliance operations, quality control and system check for the department including but not limited to: Monitoring all on/off-campus recruiting activities, telephone calls, general correspondence, and campus visits.Design/adjust workflows in Teamworks Compliance & Recruiting (formally ARMS) to incorporate all necessary departments within the athletics department to effectively monitor and streamline various processes and procedures.Support the areas of eligibility (initial and continuing) and financial aid.Compliance liaison to select departments within Athletic Department and within campus.Process legislative waiver requests, interpretations and violation reports with the NCAA.Review, interpret and monitor university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; communicate, advise, and instruct coaches, staff, student athletes and representatives of athletic interests on rules and regulations.Direct rules education for coaches, staff, and student-athlete on conference and NCAA regulations specific to functional area(s) position oversees.Supervise, support, and evaluate performance of 2-4 compliance interns including scheduling/assigning weekly tasks, conducting performance evaluations, and conducting bi-weekly check-in meetings.Maintain up to date knowledge of NCAA, ACC, and University of Louisville policies, bylaws, interpretations, and case precedent.Serve as backup for other major functional areas of compliance as needed.Serve as pass gate monitor for home football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball games.Travel periodically for athletic competitions, professional conferences, national conventions, conference meetings, and other professional appointments.Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster Degree.Experience in conference office, NCAA office, or equivalent compliance environment.Proficient with NCAA platforms including LSDBi, PeopleSoft, Teamworks, and other select software programs.Experience in an Autonomy (ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Big 12) Athletics Department.Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.Equal Employment OpportunityThe University of Louisville is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, and is committed to providing employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, sex, age, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, marital status, pregnancy, or veteran status.
