Brady Corporation Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift in Louisville, Kentucky
What We Need:
Brady is seeking a Maintenance Technician that will perform a variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain machines, structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, etc. The Maintenance Technician plans, layout, installs and troubleshoots mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician will plan time usage and project work including ordering parts and supplies, interacting with vendors and executing required work. The Maintenance Technician is expected to follow all safety rules and communicate both written and orally as well as document work activities as needed. The Maintenance Technician can work independently or on a team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist other Technician(s) with complex and involved work.
Fabricate/machining parts for production equipment.
Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting skills and repair of production machines.
Perform regular electrical/mechanical preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
Ability to read/interpret electrical wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and schematics.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Must have a solid general knowledge of gears, pulleys, pressure, and heat.
Ability to work weekends.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Completion of a craft apprenticeship and/or 5 - 7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
Technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or equivalent.
Welding experience
Machine Alignment experience is a plus.
