Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience with cherry picking, reach truck, or forklift operations. However, we are willing to train. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial. Candidates must be willing to train on an order picker (cherry picker) and be comfortable working at heights. Initially, the role may involve hand picking, packing, or working in the shipping area. Once trained on the picker, responsibilities will include operating the cherry picker and picking products for shipping. You will also need to meet the required picking rates.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and pick products for shipping

• Hand pick, pack, or work in the shipping area until trained on the picker

• Build to required picking rates

• Use RF scanning equipment

• Meet picking/packing goals established by the client

• Work overtime if needed

Essential Skills

• Should have an minimum of 6 months Machine Operator experience.

• Forklift experience (preferred)

• RF scanning

• Warehouse experience

• Comfortable working at heights

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

Work Environment

The facility is a part distribution center for a manufacturer of large cleaning and sweeping machines, equipment, and parts. It is not climate-controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cool in the winter. If the temperature exceeds 97 degrees, extra breaks, water, and popsicles are provided. Shorts and tank tops are acceptable attire. The environment is not extremely fast-paced, but goals are expected to be met. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. The facility operates on 1st and 2nd shifts with specific break schedules. Trainers wear light blue shirts and leads wear dark blue shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
