Job Summary

Papa John’s GIS department Technical Lead position will provide technical guidance, data analysis, and support within a suite of ESRI products. In addition, this person will be responsible for managing and maintaining all the Papa John’s trade areas for US and Canada within ESRI Enterprise and internal software. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and improving our existing current processes while bringing innovative ideas to the department. Programming development and maintenance using Python (ArcPy) will be required for this position.

The Technical Lead will work directly alongside the Sr. GIS Manager for workflow improvements, tracking performance indicators, and customer feedback. He or she will also assist our GIS analysts with growing their skill set with ESRI desktop applications and Online applications, providing guidance and support in relation to daily activities and workflow distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Product owner is responsible for using programming languages such as Python, or SQL to improve current workflows and daily operations thus creating departmental improvements and opportunities.

• Responsible for creating both cartographic and digital maps using ESRI ArcGIS applications.

• Create, manage, and maintain historical as well as current trade area polygons.

• Develop road network databases for our stores point of sale system for our US and Canadian store locations.

• Responsible for reviewing and accurately geocoding new road networks that will be added to a map or reported to our data provider for resolution.

• Play a supportive role in team members growth by assisting with questions, training, or providing constructive feedback.

• Lead process improvement efforts to optimize workflows.

• Assist the team to complete any new or existing orders.

• Create Ad-Hoc maps for special projects or requests.

• Partner cross functionally across Development to identify potential technical synergies within platforms.

• Collaborate with outside vendors, internal teams, and external customers.

• Lead testing of application changes and enhancements.

• Perform other required duties as needed or required.
