Grade 4 (Hourly)Position Description:University of Louisville is seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to provide preventative and general maintenance services to a group of residence halls. Position will routinely repair maintenance issues in the residence halls such as: HVAC systems, electrical systems, and install/repair household appliances. Position will interact on a daily basis with students and Campus Housing staff.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and make repairs to building environmental systems, existing plumbing systems, and existing electrical systems in assigned buildings.Install and Repair appliances (i.e. dishwashers, garbage disposals).Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC units including filter replacement and coil/drain line maintenance.Support General Maintenance areas including building masonry infrastructure and wall preparation and painting.Complete weekly walk-arounds in buildings and grounds.Tour assigned buildings and mechanical rooms to ensure mechanical equipment is functioning according to specifications.
