We are looking for a senior level Electrical Engineer (EE) to build their skills within our team, supporting production test of the US Navy s major and medium caliber gun weapon systems. This is an exciting and dynamic job opportunity where you ll not only work on important projects, but help advance the US Navy s global dominance of the seas.
In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our Louisville, KY facility. This position will report onsite.
As an Electrical Engineer with BAE Systems you will:
Work with production personnel helping them set up and test Naval Weapons Systems.
Aid in drawing interpretations
Work with Design Engineering and our government partners to suggest updates and revisions to drawings
Create Problem Reports detailing engineering related issues with items in production
Develop timely solutions to problems and coordinate effective fixes through Problem Reports, Variances, standard and non-standard repairs and configuration notes.
Maintain the Variance control process for production related variations from the technical data package (TDP). This includes obtaining Internal and Customer approval for subject Variances.
Assist in assigned special projects and/or process improvement teams to improve work effectiveness and relationships between Design and Production (e.g.: improve Configuration Management of TDP and Re-man Drawings, develop and implement design change work flow processes within configuration management and engineering data management systems).
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives, policies, and rules.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
4 years of experience in an engineering role
Possess and exhibit a level of mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
Proficient technical writing ability
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities to achieve a deliverable deadline.
Ability to create/maintain large Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems.
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems.
Demonstrated self-starter, who requires minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with PLC programming
Experienced using test equipment, i.e. data accusation units, multimeters, o-scopes
Experience with Visio
Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
Familiarity with CREO.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
