Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 4 (Hourly)Position Description:The Department Coordinator IV will assist in the management and oversight of the day to day needs of the pre-health and professional health support programs initiative. This position will focus on the development and management of key support programs, workshops, and events, actively recruit for enrichment programs, create marketing and PR materials, and provide holistic advising for pre-health students in our pathway programs. The Department Coordinator IV will work closely with the supervisor and with campus and community stakeholders to establish resources and support services and coordinate off campus experiences for pathway pre-health and professional students with other partners on the campus. This position will work with stakeholders on both the Belknap and the HSC campuses.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Campus Outreach, collaborative partnerships, programming, including but not limited to:Assist with coordinating student’s participation in professional development opportunities (e.g. shadowing, workshops, programming).Assist with the creation, organization and management of workshops, events, and programming that deepen the understanding of diverse pathways, and the essential skills based on holistic review practices for students pursuing careers in the health professions.Support student enrichment programs, test programs, etc.Support the development and implementation of programs supporting students interested in the health professions.Assist the Supervisor with advising and recruitment, including but not limited to:Provide holistic advising that prioritizes students’ knowledge of the pre-health pathway and specific skill-building for it. Coordinate advising meetings with professional advisors where needed and facilitate referrals as appropriate.Recruit students to participate in enrichment programs, conduct information sessions, and organize and attend key recruitment conferences.Coordinate proactive support strategies for student retention.Program administration, including but not limited to:Recruit, train, and supervise student workers and interns.Assist with the creation of marketing materials for programming.Assist with program evaluations in coordination with the Assessment Director and produce individual event reports as well as semester participation reports for designated programs.Support the Supervisor with ad hoc assignments and projects and help to maintain a system that tracks student participation in program offerings/enrichment programs.Stay up to date on current trends of marginalized, first generation, rural and/or students from lower socio-economic levels. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in education, human resources, sociology, psychology, business administration, or related field.Two (2) years in higher education or related experience in student engagement, student programming, and/or program coordination.V.
