Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking a Data Analyst to support the data management of energy solutions programs in Kentucky, Missouri and Kansas. This position is responsible for upkeeping of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. They will oversee dashboards, reporting, data analysis, tracking metrics, and support the program team on client deliverables and internal tracking. The Data Analyst will work collaboratively with management and cross-functional team members (such as Engineering, Marketing, Outreach, Operations, and Field Lead), to create role specific reporting and data management tools to help streamline and manage tasks. They must have strong communication capabilities and be able to help interpret data into layman terms. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other Data Analysts at TRC to maintain our best practices and lessons learned throughout our energy portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be an independent detail-oriented leader with a positive attitude and who is excellent at multi-tasking while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. They will have a sufficient understanding of the energy industry to interpret the data required of the position. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and feel comfortable with managing and sorting through high volumes of data. They would be able to support the team by providing reports and data analytics in a clear, accurate, and timely manner to the team and the client.

Responsibilities
  • Provide valuable insight to the program team based on the data collected for the program, in order for the team to make informed decisions.
  • Maintaining the team's CRM system, including fields, reporting, dashboards, and data analytics. Communicating program needs of the CRM system with technical IT team members and developers, including management of JIRA tickets.
  • Coordination with the client and/or vendor(s) (where applicable).
  • Provide input for troubleshooting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Customized dashboards and reporting for Client, subcontractor, management, cross-functional team members.
  • Sorting through and interpreting high quantities of data.
  • Monitor and report program key performance metrics and provide updates to management.
  • Support weekly and monthly invoicing reviews and approvals.
  • Work with the team's needs for tracking all fields and metrics required of each project, and the overall program.
  • Developing data models through reporting and visualization to support decision-making.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and correcting discrepancies in data sets to ensure accuracy.
  • Track weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Exceptions reporting for QA/QC measures.
  • Ad-hoc reporting.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Residency in Kentucky, Missouri or Kansas.
  • Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using a CRM or similar system to effectively track customer and/or project data.
  • 2+ years of experience creating reports, project dashboards, and conducting data analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. outlook, word, excel, power point, teams, SharePoint).
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong teamwork skills that include highly effective communication in-person, over email, over chat and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and customers.
  • Attention-to-detail to ensure project submittals meet the clients' criteria for eligibility and completeness.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with low to no margin of error.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage project progress and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to use statistical and computational techniques to identify patterns and trends in data.
  • Ability to uncovering insights and trends to support our program initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of energy solutions or programs metrics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Self-driven and a team player with established critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience promoting process documentation, optimization, and automation.
  • Any advanced certification relevant to position (such as MS Excel, MS Dynamics, Google Data Analytics Professional, IBM Data Analyst Professional, MS Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, SAS Statistics Business Analyst Professional Certificate, CompTIA Data Analytics Plus Certification, Meta Data Analyst Professional Certificate).

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
