Insight Global Application Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking an Application Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Louisville, KY area. This individual will need to be comfortable being out in the field, detailing customer needs, building and report, and developing custom equipment for their needs. This individual will take scope of equipment, size equipment, detail out the scope of the project, and do an estimate costing for the Sales Engineer to go in and present. They will be supporting the sales engineering team across the US. The primary responsibility of this individual will be developing the costing for the proposals for clients. This individual will be collaborating with the sales engineers often as they are responsible for presenting the proposals that the application engineer puts together. The ideal candidate will have a background and understanding of thermal processing, physics of air, mass flow, and heat transfer. Travel expectations are up to 30%, either driving or flying to different clients around once a month.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in chemical, process, or mechanical engineering or related engineering field

Ability to travel on a project need basis (can be up to 30%)

Professional working experience working with AutoCad building presentations Professional working experience with industrial rotary process equipment

Professional working experience with developing customized equipment proposals null
