Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an application tester/developer to support a public utility company in the Louisville, KY area. This individual will report onsite to the corporate headquarters 5 days out of the week. Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining VB.NET applications to automate tasks and improve efficiency and performance through testing of applications, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests. This candidate needs to be able to test applications and understand the outcome to be able to identify pass or fail criteria. They will also be troubleshooting, maintaining, and testing VB.NET code. It is important that this individual possesses the ability to collaborate in a team-environment as they will be working with 5 others across 2 teams. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, have exceptional punctuality skills, and willing to collaborate with others. They will also have great communication skills and be self-sufficient. Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional working experience as an Application Developer/Tester with a focus on VBA.NET. (any programming language is fine)

2+ years of professional working experience with SQL databases Professional experience working with asset management tools (Cascade, Maximo, IPS, WAM)

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development life cycle.

Professional working experience with C#

Experience with Power Query for Excel and creating smart excel workbooks.

Experience with Visio to develop business process flow diagrams. null
