Overview In this position, you will guide energy customers as a trusted advisor, helping them define and implement geospatial business solutions. You will evaluate and translate customer requirements, business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions and coordinate support through collaboration with cross-functional Esri teams. This team supports commercial natural resource customers within Professional Services. The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation side of Esri. We deliver transformational solutions to high-profile customers worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive daily to help our users succeed. Responsibilities As a Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact our customers in commercial natural resources industries, including oil and gas, pipeline, renewables, mining, agriculture, and forestry. Thought leadership: Advise customers on innovative solutions using Esri technology to assist customers in making informed decisions and solve business problems. Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, solutions, and work with customers to prepare and implement them. Understand our customers and know their business: Build relationships and promote a sense of community among our customers. Be familiar with our users' overall mission and operations, including knowledge of common goals and initiatives, procurement cycles, and business processes. Engage with our customers: Discover the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in the Esri platform and services by creating outstanding proposals and winning work with strategic customers. Develop and grow business: Drive business development by defining and proposing strategies that further technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customers. Collaborate with Esri's practice managers and marketing and sales teams to develop new business. Actively shape the future of Esri's industry practices through your work on cutting-edge engagements and technology trends such as real-time and big data analytics, analytics, generative AI, 3D, and digital twin. Effectively manage complex technology projects and programs: Use your consulting and project management skills to build and lead cross-functional teams during all implementation phases, including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment. Manage and communicate scope, schedule, and budget to deliver meaningful solutions for our customers and strategic partners. Requirements 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities Professional experience with a proven record of technology and/or business management consulting in an energy-related field such as oil and gas, pipeline, or renewables Ability to evaluate and translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions Experience scoping, designing, and coordinating work plans, budgets, and schedules Self-motivated, proactive problem solver, team-oriented, and creative Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn Ability to thrive in dynamic, cross-functional, and matrixed team environments Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, information systems, or a related STEM field Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time Recommended Qualifications Master's degree in geography, GIS, information systems, or a related STEM field Experience developing, leading, and executing professional services or consulting engagements with geospatial software or solutions Experience with ArcGIS, location-based ser ices, geoenabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture #LI-AN1 #LI-Hybrid
