Actalent Sterile Processing Technician in Los Angeles, California

Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, inspecting, wrapping, sterilizing, and distributing instruments, instrument trays, basins, and equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Payrate: $28 - 33/hr.

Schedule:

  • Saturday – Wednesday, 10am – 6:30pm

  • Saturday – Wednesday w/rotating weekends, 10am – 6:30pm

Job Description:

  • Knowledge of various types of reusable surgical instrumentation, including power equipment and micro surgical instrumentation, is preferred.

  • Experience with cleaning patient care equipment (e.g., IV pumps, feeding pumps, pneumatic pumps, CPM machines, PCA, hypo/hyperthermia units) is preferred.

  • Familiarity with sterilization monitoring, record keeping, and quality assurance programs is preferred.

  • Ability to meet regulatory requirements for sterilization, high-level disinfection, biological monitoring, and employee competencies.

  • Accurate documentation of daily records of all QA and sterilization functions according to regulatory agency and Infection Control standards.

  • Adherence to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Inspection, disassembly, sorting, cleaning, and processing of reusable instrumentation and equipment.

  • Operation of specialized cleaning equipment following device manufacturers' cleaning guidelines.

  • Maintenance of adequate cleaning supplies and reprocessing of endoscopes.

  • Identification, inspection, and assembly of all general and specialty instruments, various power equipment, laser, and endoscopes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
