Robert Half is partnering with a local public accounting firm based in the Mid Wilshire area of Los Angeles. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join their team on a temp to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience preparing individual and partnership tax returns. Experience with other types of returns is a plus, as is proficiency in Lacerte tax software. A candidate will be required to be on site 3 days per week, during tax season this requirement may be more days in office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual (1040) and partnership (1065) tax returns.

• Assist with tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses.

• Research and resolve tax issues while ensuring compliance with IRS and state regulations.

• Work closely with clients to gather financial information and provide tax-related guidance.

• Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations.

• Assist with corporate (1120, 1120S), trust, and other tax returns as needed (a plus).

• Utilize Lacerte tax software and other accounting tools to complete tax filings efficiently.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience preparing individual and partnership tax returns.

• Experience with corporate, trust, or other tax returns is a plus.

• Proficiency in Lacerte tax software preferred.

• Strong understanding of tax laws, compliance, and regulations.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills for client interactions.
