Description

The Ahmanson Translational Theranostics Division (ATTD) is a Division of the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology (DMMP). The Division includes the Nuclear Medicine clinic, the Biomedical Cyclotron, as well as basic and translational research groups and labs. Fueled by the adoption of Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) and stimulated by major new therapeutic opportunities in prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, the ATTD has expanded significantly. Novel therapeutic approaches, together with advanced molecular imaging assays, have given rise to the field of Theranostics, the combination of tumor-specific targeted radionuclide imaging and therapy. The Division is looking to hire a motivated Staff Research Associate to help enter and clean data into study databases, maintain data quality, assist with data analysis, assist with preparation of reports and tables, complete study forms to submit to sponsors and / or appropriate agencies, attend team meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly range: $25.75-$30.71

Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including MS Excel, Word;

  • Ability to create weekly concise updates enumerating patient numbers, ethnicity, other demographic data;

  • Ability to organize raw data into a comprehensible form;

  • Ability to maintain research patient charts; Ability to create and maintain records accurately;

  • Ability to communicate effectively to convey results;

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; project management and coordination skills; Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and students and patients.

Preferred;

  • Familiarity with CareConnect; Demonstrated proficiency with medical terminology;

  • Ability to abstract data from medical records and transfer it to data collection forms or directly into databases;

  • Experience with electronic data capture systems, including electronic medical records systems.
