Title: Senior Manager, Tradeshows & Experiences

Pay Rate: $72.00 per Hour

Estimated Duration: 2/24/2025 - 8/31/2025

Work Location: Remote (Travel Required)

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, with travel to industry events and tradeshows as needed

Project Overview:

Splunk, a Cisco company, is looking for a Senior Manager, Tradeshows and Experiences to bring our brand to life through high-impact events that captivate audiences and drive business growth .

From flagship tradeshows to exclusive executive engagements , this role will be responsible for ensuring Splunk’s products and solutions are front and center , creating engaging, high-energy experiences for customers, partners, and internal teams . The ideal candidate will develop and execute bold event strategies , generate demand, and drive the sales cycle while amplifying Splunk’s presence on global stages .

Overall Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager, Tradeshows & Experiences , you will be responsible for:

  • Event & Tradeshow Strategy: Develop and execute bold event strategies that align with business goals and elevate Splunk’s presence at major industry events.

  • Content & Messaging Development: Collaborate across teams to craft compelling messaging, content, and customer engagement strategies for tradeshows and experiences.

  • End-to-End Event Execution: Oversee event logistics, speaker sessions, demos, budgeting, and overall event experience .

  • Performance Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights to measure event impact and refine future strategies.

  • Stakeholder & Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams , including marketing, sales, and product, to ensure flawless execution of event activations.

  • Brand Storytelling & Visibility: Create unforgettable experiences that enhance customer engagement , strengthen partnerships, and increase brand awareness.

  • Amplify Reach: Ensure high-visibility promotions, storytelling, and brand alignment across all event touchpoints.

Top Daily Responsibilities:

  • Event Strategy & Planning: Develop event roadmaps, aligning with marketing and business objectives.

  • Tradeshow Execution: Manage the logistics of large-scale industry events, ensuring strong brand positioning .

  • Speaker & Content Development: Coordinate executive speaker sessions , customer demos, and interactive experiences.

  • Performance Analysis: Track key KPIs, ROI, and audience engagement metrics for future optimizations.

  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless event execution .

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Event & Tradeshow Expertise: 8-10 years of experience leading B2B tech events , specifically in security, cloud, big data, storage, or database technologies .

  • Strategic Thinking & Brand Storytelling: Proven ability to develop event strategies that align with business goals and amplify brand presence .

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to track event impact, audience engagement, and ROI .

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working with marketing, sales, and executive teams to align on event messaging and strategy.

  • Project & Budget Management: Ability to manage large-scale event budgets ($5M+) and ensure financial efficiency.

  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Google Suite, Slack, and event management tools .

  • Large-Scale Event Experience: Hands-on experience managing multi-day, hybrid events with 5,000+ attendees .

  • Travel-Ready: Willing to travel for assigned events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in event/tradeshow management within the B2B tech industry .

  • Technical Proficiency in event marketing tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Google Analytics, and event management platforms .

  • Experience with Speaker & Content Development for major conferences and industry events.

  • Familiarity with industry events in security, cloud, AI, big data, or related fields is highly preferred.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in event marketing, tradeshow management, or project management .

  • Experience with executive engagement programs and exclusive customer experiences .

  • Knowledge of industry trends, digital activations, and virtual/hybrid event formats .

Pay Details: $72.00 per hour
