A Senior Engineer in the Los Angeles, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. This position will provide senior-level technical leadership, guiding the design, development, and implementation of complex engineering solutions while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of engineering projects, products, or systems from inception to completion.

  • Ensure alignment with strategic objectives, technical requirements, and customer needs.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians.

  • Foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in execution.

  • Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and feasibility studies to evaluate technical challenges, opportunities, and risks.

  • Develop innovative solutions or enhancements.

  • Use advanced engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, models, simulations, and technical documentation.

  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with standards and regulations.

  • Lead the execution of experiments, tests, and analyses to validate design concepts.

  • Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in engineering disciplines.

  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, product development, or a related role.

  • Proven track record of success in leading complex engineering projects and initiatives.

  • Expertise in engineering principles, theories, and methodologies.

  • Ability to solve technical problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as CAD/CAM, simulation, and analysis software.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex engineering data.

  • strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to drive results, manage priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or related field.

  • Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification.

  • Extensive experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace).

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.

  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.

  • Previous experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers.

  • Fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
