UCLA Health Senior Accountant in Los Angeles, California
Description
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will
support both technical and general accounting tasks. You will be responsible
for:
Overseeing the monthly financial closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Assisting in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
Supporting the annual budgeting process, including the creation and review of budget documents.
Performing monthly budget analysis to identify variances and provide insights.
Reconciling accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Participating in special projects and provide ad-hoc support as required by the Controller.
Salary Range: $78,800 - $175,000/annually
Qualifications
We're seeking a self-directed, detail-oriented individual
with:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, required
A master's degree in accounting or related field, preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), highly desired
Seven or more years of accounting experience
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Working knowledge of fund accounting and healthcare accounting
Experience in managing the maintenance of accounting systems and producing financial reports for medical groups and physician networks.
Working knowledge of general ledger and subsidiary systems
Working knowledge of Lawson and Kaufman Hall systems, preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
