Job Description

A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Salesforce Business Systems Analyst to join their ITS Experience and Engagement Products (EEP) team. This individual will partner with teams across the university to map business and technical workflows and administration of Salesforce, specifically with EDA (Education Data Architecture) and Student Success Hub. They will be responsible for moving user stories forward and will partner with teams across the university to map business and technical workflows and needs during the development of new student success and alumni and donor engagement CRMs, based on Salesforce. This candidate will be relied upon for deep knowledge of and ability to evaluate needs, and to validate functionality, support the analysis, training, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance needs of projects in alignment with university strategic goals and cultural values. They are joining a team of two developers and two business analysts so they work in tandem with development. The split of duties within the system is as follows: analyst supports backlog, refinement, splitting, questions/issues, Quality Assurance, UAT, demo, and verification. The role is about 60% data mapping and 40% business requirement writing and gathering to define Salesforce rules with stakeholders such as Administrative support staff for students (like an academic advisor). This team is highly collaborative, so this individual will be encouraged to share their opinions and be participatory in decision making. This position can be fully remote but they will need this person to regularly work PST hours.

Skills and Requirements

-2+ years of Salesforce experience in an administrator or business analyst capacity

-Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Connect

-Salesforce Education Data Architecture and Student Success Hub

  o OR Salesforce Education Cloud

  o OR Salesforce higher-education experience

-Education or higher ed environment - this is likely the case if they have EDA and Student Success hub are niche

-Salesforce Flow

-Salesforce Lightning platform -TALEND or ETL tool familiarity

-Gearset or DevOps familiarity

-Familiarity with the academic advising process

-Project management platform experience: Jira, Smartsheets, Servicenow are used null
