Senior RACF Security Engineer

Remote

Pay: $60/hour

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RACF Security Engineer to join our team. This is a contract-to-hire position with a strong potential for permanent employment.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of mainframe security, specifically RACF. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to provide front-line support, including on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex technical analysis and support for mainframe security in a large, complex RACF environment.

  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement remediation strategies.

  • Administer and troubleshoot RACF issues.

  • Manage digital certificates within the mainframe ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure optimal RACF performance and security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience

  • 5+ years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on RACF experience with z/OS 2.1 or later

  • 5+ years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and RACF tools

  • 5+ years of experience issuing RACF commands and performing diagnosis

  • Strong understanding of mainframe fundamentals (JCL, TSO)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with zSecure

  • Knowledge of CARLA and REXX

  • Ability to add custom fields in RACF
