Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is

seeking to hire a Psychologist to join the BrainSport Program. This program is

aimed to make leading discoveries through research, provide forward-thinking

diagnosis and treatment, and transfer our knowledge of sports related

concussions and brain health to the broader community. You will work primarily

with patients who experience persistent post-concussive symptoms. Primary

duties include:

Conduct psychotherapy

sessions

Evaluating and

monitoring symptoms, difficulties, and strengths/resources using interviews,

questionnaires, and standardized tests

Working with a

multi-disciplinary team

-

Communicating

recommendations to medical professionals and patients at clinic visits and in

written reports

-

Providing care

management and support

-

Providing education to

others about the program services and resources

-

Other duties as assigned

Salary range: $54.66/hr - $72.09/hr

Please note: this is a limited position that may convert to

career

Qualifications

Phd or PsyD in Clinical Psychology

Valid CA license as a Psychologist

Training in a variety of psychological assessment measures

Demonstrated ability to protect patient confidentiality,

comply with all HIPAA, JCAHO, CMS, and regulatory policies, procedures, and

requirements

Strong computer skills including word processing, email

systems, spreadsheets, and electronic medical records

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally

and in writing
