Actalent Project Engineer in Los Angeles, California

Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the construction process on the Purple Line project. This role includes administrative support, monitoring budgets, resources, and direct communication with Superintendents and owners regarding project cost, staffing, and scheduling. Responsibilities include training and mentoring office employees, planning, assigning, delegating, and directing administrative work, managing document flow, and resolving contractual issues. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Construction Manager, or other assigned supervisors.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (minimum requirement from LA Metro)

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Civil Project Engineering experience

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred)

  • Experience with large-scale Mass Transit Construction projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCad

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Los Angeles, California.

Work Environment

5 days in project trailers or onsite in the LA Metro underground construction sites. Willing to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
