UCLA Health Nurse Practitioner - Nephrology in Los Angeles, California
Description
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered. The NP will assist clinical and research operations of CORE Kidney Center under the direction of Dr. Anjay Rastogi. The NP will assist in clinical research needs.
Salary range:
NP1: $80.34/hourly
NP2: $89.06-$127.19/hourly
Qualifications
MSN degree with a NP specialty in either Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP), or Adult Primary Care NP or FNP Specialty- required
CA RN and CA NP license -required.
National Certification in NP Specialty-required
Previous experience caring for nephrology, dialysis, kidney transplant patients-required
Clinical research experience-preferred
BLS and ACLS certifications from ARC or AHA- required
State of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC)NPI #, DEA #,Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required
Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required
Ability to set priorities-required
Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
NP1: less than 6 months exp
