UCLA Health Nurse Practitioner -Bowyer Oncology in Los Angeles, California
Description
The NP functions in an interdependet role by implementing the appropriate SPs. By using the SPs the NP is able to evaluate patients with a variety of hematological oncological diagnoses and patients undergoing cellular therapies. NP will change treatment regiment after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavious and physcal condition and determines if they are abnormal findings. The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in the interdiscplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.
Salary range: $84.82- $121.13/hourly
Qualifications
CA RN and CA NP License- required
MSN/ DNP in NP Specialty -required (Adult Acute Care NP Specialty - strongly preferred but will consider Adult NP, FNP or PCNP with extensive relevant Oncology exp)
National Certification in NP Specialty-required
BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required
NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required
5+ years of exp as an oncology certified nurse (experience in infusion center is a plus)-preferred
NP experience- required
2+ years of exp as a Nurse Practitioner -preferred
Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs -required
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel -required
Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction -required
Ability to set priorities -required
Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence -required
Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner -required
