Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As our Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Services at California Hospital Medical Center, you’ll oversee multiple departments of frontline nurses and act as the conduit between these caregivers and leadership teams.

You will lead staff providing services including antepartum, triage, labor & delivery, and postpartum care. You will direct the provision of nursing care while maintaining high standards of patient care, is a very fast paced enviornment. Each year, we deliver close to 3,000 babies and admit over 500 to our 26-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This project will modernize our maternity services with a complete redesign of our labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and Neonatal Intensive Care units. By providing a more spacious, nurturing environment that balances leading-edge medicine with family-centered care, we can give our youngest patients the very best start in life and ensure access to our full continuum of care, extending far beyond the walls of our hospital.

The new Patient Tower will include 28 private postpartum rooms, private NICU rooms, 3 state of the art surgery suites, pregnancy care center with private triage, antepartum, and birthing rooms, specialty water birthing suite, waiting room with children's play area, and private spaces to meet and consult with families.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience. Magnet Hospital: BSN required.

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience.

Licensure:

• Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or credential modules may be required.

Pay Range

$51.26 - $77.54 /hour
