Sunrun Multifamily Interconnection Analyst in Los Angeles, California

The Multifamily Interconnection Analyst prepares, submits, and approves interconnection applications and manages all utility related requirements for projects through permission to operate (PTO).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and submits utility interconnection applications and manage the relationship with the utility throughout the application review process through PTO

  • Reviews plansets for accuracy and completeness and works with Design and Engineering to resolve any discrepancies

  • Resolves any utility comments independently and delegates any remaining comments to Operations, Engineering, and Sales as needed

  • Utilizes software systems to record progress of various tasks and maintain project schedules

  • Obtains customer signatures as required, prepares project documentation, and organizes documentation

  • Manages and coordinates utility outages

  • Coordinates payment and reimbursement of interconnection fees according to company guidelines

  • Supports policy related outreach for company initiatives, including improving utility processes

  • Builds relationships with utilities and foster collaboration

  • Maintains database of utility requirements and timelines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in renewable energy

  • Demonstrated understanding of NEC, CBC, utility handbook and AHJ requirements to help push projects through utility reviews and resolve any issues that may arise

  • Knowledge of interconnection processes and experience working with utilities is preferred

  • Exposure to commercial PV design and installation processes is preferred

  • Ability to read and understand plan sets

  • Ability to work autonomously and escalate issues to upper management as needed

  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$59,657.85 to $79,543.80

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
