Description

Laboratory Assistant 2 will work in the Lipidomics Core and will be responsible for 1) preparation, shipping and distribution of sample collection materials 2) the receiving and accessioning lipidomics samples from internal/external clients, 3) basic customer service/support and 4) laboratory inventory and ordering responsibilities.

Salary: $21.38 - $25.15 hourly

Qualifications

Required

• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.

• Experience with Outlook, Office, and Project Management Programs

• Comfortable transferring biological samples to and from freezers and safely handling dry ice.

• Excellent organization skills and ability to schedule meetings and hand offs with cleints.

• Skills in performing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing responsibilities

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff members, peers, supervisors, and other groups

• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are: changes in work scope, workload, changes in personnel, assignment, pressures of deadlines, competing requirements.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree
