Intrepid is a specialty investment bank and provides M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory services to entrepreneurs, family-owned companies, private equity sponsors and major corporations, through dedicated banking teams with deep industry sector experience and over three decades of experience. The firm is based in Los Angeles, with additional offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Charlotte. Intrepid is the middle-market advisory arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (NYSE: MUFG), one of the largest financial groups in the world.

The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Full-time role to start in June 2025, pending candidate's successful completion of program of study

Intrepid Investment Bankers is seeking to hire talented professionals for its 2025 full time Analyst class. Intrepid plans to fill a majority of its 2025 Analyst positions at its headquarters in Los Angeles, with additional limited placement in its New York office.

Responsibilities

Analysts are an important part of Intrepid deal teams, working closely with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, Associates, and clients. Analysts are involved in all phases of execution including:

  • Performing client specific and industry research

  • Organizing, reviewing, and analyzing due diligence processes and materials

  • Developing valuation analyses and models (projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, historical M&A transactions, etc.)

  • Preparing comprehensive information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materials

  • Compiling prospective acquirer lists

  • Assisting senior bankers in firm building activities (training, recruiting, etc.)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • 0-3 years of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experience (No experience required, but internships are a plus!)

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a top tier school

  • Team player willing to take an integral role in Intrepid’s growth

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as part of a small team

  • Self-starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding, and fast paced environment

  • Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance concepts and financial statement analysis

  • Intrepid will not hire individuals for internships or entry-level positions whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and would not require visa sponsorship now, or in the future

The typical base pay for this role is $100K. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
