About The Role:

This job is part of the Events job function. They are responsible for the creation, management, and execution of events for internal and external clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as primary contact with clients for meeting & events forecasts and strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and raised complaints.

  • Prepares and communicate weekly summaries of newly booked Client Events to the overall team Track all expenses, oversee event budgets and timelines, and oversee ongoing, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Report appropriately and keep General Manager apprised of significant variances or concerns.

  • Implement improvements for event success. This includes making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review reports to measure efficiency and present findings to management.

  • Lead the execution of all CMC self-produced trade shows from start to finish by overseeing on-site operations and working hand in hand with the events team to ensure the best possible show and experience for event attendees.

  • Ensure operations and vendors are aligned with location requirements.

  • Assists events team with temp rental requests, emails, tours, and contracts.

  • Assembles creative and innovative event activations based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors when appropriate.

  • Manages Audio/Visual for all Events

  • Orders, manages and organizes Inventories for all Events project needs, including: Furniture, Equipment, Signage, Décor, Props, and Supplies

  • Works with Senior Marketing Manager to complete the following: Signage Plans and manages delivery and installation of all Signage for Events and CMC Property needs, implements special event environments and displays, including lounges, mannequin, and creative displays, produce Decks, Guides, Reports, and other materials required for Event internal team-facing and external client-facing needs.

  • Outsources and manages event-setup crew as needed

  • Liaisons with Engineering Team and manages Event build-outs and other projects as needed

  • Performs all administrative responsibilities that falls under Events Operations and assists Team with administrative tasks as needed

  • Assists with Special Projects as needed by Events, Tenants, or CMC Property

  • Participates in client, attendee, and tenant outreach as needed, including call campaigns, email outreach, site visits and meetings

  • Participates in Events Team customer service activities including Event Registration, Exhibitor Relations, Event Greeting, etc

  • Acts as liaison and manages relationships with CMC Hotel Partners

  • Accountable for tracking department SLAs, critical metrics, and benchmarks. Monitor related performance data and identify solutions for gaps.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

  • Apply knowledge of own field and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

  • Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, can-do approach.

  • Fashion knowledge, experience, and interest are essential.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Events Operations Manager position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Events Operations Manager position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
