Entertainment Anchor/Reporter
KTLA is seeking candidates for the role of entertainment anchor/reporter. Duties will include daily live segments on KTLA’s #1 morning news, hosting KTLA’s award-winning red-carpet specials including Emmys and Oscars as well as delivering daily entertainment reports for Nexstar stations. Candidates must possess a strong background covering the news of entertainment, and the business of Hollywood, in a major market and/or a network, extensive on-air experience with large market and/or network television as well as a journalistic background. Connections, contacts and extensive relationships with key stakeholders in the entertainment industry is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who understands the KTLA morning news, its audience, the business of entertainment, and works well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for covering a wide range of entertainment news, from breaking stories to in-depth features and interviews and will need to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the industry, attend events, and build relationships with key industry figures. This role requires excellent writing and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Duties
Anchor Entertainment and trending news segments on KTLA’s morning news or other day parts as assigned.
Conduct interviews with celebrities, industry professionals, and other relevant figures.
Host KTLA’s award winning red carpet specials including but not limited to Emmys and Oscars.
Attend and cover entertainment events, such as movie premieres, award shows, and industry events.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the entertainment industry.
Build and maintain relationships with key industry contacts.
Collaborate with producers to produce high-quality content.
Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to our editorial standards.
Use social media to promote content and engage with our audience.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as an entertainment anchor/reporter or similar role.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
Knowledge of the entertainment industry and current trends.
Proficiency in using social media platforms.
Experience with multimedia content creation, such as video and audio.
Strong research and investigative skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry contacts.

Compensation - $160,000+ commensurate with experience and skill level
