Dental Assistant or Registered Dental AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dental assistant or registered dental assistant to join our team to support one of LA's leading non-profit healthcare organizations. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced clinic setting with adults, focusing on dental assisting duties. Requirements

  • Dental Assistant certification

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

  • Ability to work between 7am-7pm, Monday-Saturday and float to four different locations in South LA (8 Hours Shifts!)

  • 6+ months of dental assistant experience

Job Description

  • Payrate is $28/hr for Dental Assistants and starting at $32/hr for RDAs

  • Prepare treatment room for patient

  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.

  • Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts

  • Expose dental diagnostic x-rays

  • Ensure the health history is updated

  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.

  • Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; call for repairs, when necessary

  • Fabricates temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions.

  • Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Months.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Los Angeles, California.
