We are currently identifying candidate for a CRE Portfolio Manager!

Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager

  • Use business expertise and industry knowledge to evaluate risk and make credit and loan structure recommendations based on extensive due diligence of collateral, sponsors, tenants, and market expertise.

  • Manage transactions independently and will generally work on larger and more complex situations.

  • Support Relationship Managers in maintaining high quality business by actively managing risk and identifying business opportunities through strong credit analysis, active portfolio management and extensive industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses creditworthiness of existing and potential CRE borrowers by evaluating property level cash flow and completing extensive due diligence of collateral, sponsors, tenants and markets. Identifies, investigates, and escalates credit concerns or questions. Ensures that all CRE loans conform to the Bank's lending policies and procedures.

  • Prepares credit memorandums summarizing transaction fundamentals, credit analysis and due diligence for new and existing commercial real estate loan transactions. Makes recommendations on transaction risk rating. Makes recommendations on loan structure to mitigate identified risks. Corresponds with borrowers and loan brokers to obtain and/or clarify property and borrower related information for new loan origination or existing loan portfolio management.

  • Supports Relationship Managers in maintaining high quality business by actively managing risk and identifying business opportunities through strong credit analysis and active portfolio management. Works with loan closers, external counsel and others to resolve credit related issues during the loan origination, review and closing process. Assists customers in addressing loan modification and amendment requests.

  • Develops working knowledge of existing customers and prospects to monitor ongoing customer performance and ability to pay. Makes appropriate recommendations to reduce risk for past due accounts, matured loans or others exhibiting potential credit weakness.

  • Enhances industry and market expertise by completing site visits, maintaining active industry network and evaluating the impact of actual and potential changes in market dynamics. Analyzes data and prepares special reports for senior management.

Qualifications

  • College degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of related experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate lending, underwriting or risk management

  • Knowledge of commercial real estate markets and industry dynamics

  • Effective negotiation, risk management and communications skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Hours per Week:40

Work Schedule: M-F
