    Position description

ASSISTANT PROJECT SCIENTIST position available in Department of Neurobiology at UCLA. Ph.D. in neurosciences and five years of postdoctoral experience required in fields of biochemistry, neuroscience, and/or bioengineering. Candidate will be performing cutting-edge neuroscience research aimed at understanding how neocortical neural circuits learn to perform simple computations. This research will provide a foundation to further elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying neurocomputations under normal and pathological conditions. Demonstrated ability to work as part of teams and publish in high‐impact journals.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

Ph.D. in neurosciences and five years of postdoctoral experience required in fields of biochemistry, neuroscience, and/or bioengineering.
